12-17-09It is encouraging that Congressman Davis has endorsed Dorothy Brown
for Cook County Board President. It reflects the attitude of the
political elite in Cook County that insider politics works, and
outsiders are unwelcome. Dorothy Brown used state resources to help
fund her campaign operations, held campaign events in public
facilities on the taxpayers’ dime, and reflects the same values that
Todd Stroger does. That encourages me because people all over Cook
County are fed up with this behavior, and they want to see real
change. I am still the only candidate in the Republican primary, or
in this election generally, that has not used political relationships
to help my bottom line or reward patronage.
