My Thanks to You!
02-04-10Family, friends and supporters,
They say what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. We may not have won the primary, but we are definitely stronger.
Over 50,000 phone calls by volunteers
Over 5,000 signs on frozen lawns
And with the help of our networks of family, friends and neighbors, our hard work has made a difference; you have made a difference.
Unfortunately, it was not the difference we had hoped for, but it is a difference we can all be proud of.
We connected with over 42,000 voters; THAT’S HUGE!!
Today I am celebrating a race well run, new friendships and a new hope for change in Cook County Government.
While I won’t be representing the Republican Party against the Democratic “Machine” in November, it is my hope that you will support Roger Keats with the same energy that you have demonstrated on behalf of my campaign. Roger has pledged to work hard to fix the broken system that is Cook County government; we need to support his campaign to make that happen.
When I announced my candidacy I quoted Thomas Jefferson saying, “Every generation needs a new revolution”. Our revolution has begun and it will continue to grow as we head into the November election.
The Cook County Republican Party has many new members; many voters in this primary pulled a Republican ballot for the first time. And in November, we will pull the plug on the Democratic “Machine”—and end one-party rule here in Cook County and the State of Illinois.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
Sincerely,
John Garrido
